Jacob Walter

Jacob Walter joined Hillwood in September 2007. His primary responsibilities include pursuing and executing development and acquisition opportunities for the Hillwood Urban division.

Mr. Walter recently completed development of Victory Commons One, a new 365,000 SF AA speculative office tower in Victory Park. Prior to that, he managed the development of the 180,000 square foot build-to-suit campus for The Perot Family business interests (and Hillwood’s Dallas offices) as well as the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, where Hillwood served as third-party development manager. The Morphosis designed 170,000 square foot, $190 million museum was completed on budget, ahead of schedule and has become an iconic piece of the Downtown Dallas skyline.

Mr. Walter has been involved in Class A commercial development and acquisitions for his entire career and has managed projects containing more than 2.3 million square feet and representing in excess of $960 million in value. Prior to joining Hillwood, he worked for Crescent Real Estate Equities and was responsible for project management and predevelopment activities of The Ritz-Carlton Dallas Hotel & Residences. He was also responsible for the underwriting and analysis of various other development and Class A office acquisition opportunities.

Prior to joining Crescent, Mr. Walter worked in the Dallas office of Hines, where he was responsible for the underwriting and analysis of various proposed Class A development and office acquisition projects.
