Meggie Lowy is a key financial strategist for the Hillwood portfolio, responsible for overseeing the finance team, providing tactical analysis, financing and due diligence for the company. She is also directly responsible for securing and negotiating debt and equity for new developments, refinancing for existing projects, as well as maintaining our debt and equity relationships.
Since joining Hillwood in 2008, Lowy has sourced, negotiated and closed construction and permanent debt totaling over $1 billion. The diverse group of financings involved a variety of product types including multifamily, hotel, suburban and urban office, industrial, aviation, land, and retail as well as a variety of ownership structures.
A resourceful team member, Lowy is highly skilled in gaining access to and readily understanding relevant points of data. With nearly 10 years of commercial real estate and investment finance experience, her expert analysis provides clear insight and discernment in evaluating investment opportunities for the company.
Lowy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M in 2005 with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Business. She earned her Master’s in Commercial Real Estate and Land Economics from Texas A&M in 2007. While attending A&M, she obtained a Certificate of International Trade & Agriculture (CITA). She also graduated from the inaugural class of Leading Edge, the sister program to Leadership Fort Worth in 2009. In 2014 she graduated from UC Berkeley’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program. For her continued excellence, Lowy won the Fort Worth Business Press “40 under 40” award in 2017.
